Q: How do I get to Firefall?

A: Personal Vehicle - Driving directions are easy. There is a charge for parking.

Shuttle service will be available at one site – (Ozark Empire Fairgrounds) Missouri Entertainment and Event Center on Norton Road. Riders will be picked up at this site between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. and then returned to their vehicles following the event. There is a charge for shuttle transportation.

Q: What is the cost for Firefall?

A: Firefall is a free event, however there is a charge for parking and using the CU Shuttle service.

Q: What bands are performing?

A: View the schedule. The event opens to the public at Noon.

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: The event is a rain or shine event. Event staff monitors inclement weather very closely, and any instructions relating to spectator safety will be made over the public-address system.

Q: Describe the venue

A: A portion of property owned by the Springfield-Branson National Airport is used for the event. Because the event is in a large field, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Parking is provided in adjacent fields for a fee. All restrooms are portable toilet facilities. Concessions are available for a fee.

Q: Describe the event setting

A: Firefall is an alcohol-free family event celebrating Independence Day. In its 27th year, both the crowds and level of entertainment have grown, making Firefall Springfield’s premier outdoor event each year. Sit back and listen to local, regional and national touring artists. There is also a free kids activity area and a hot air balloon launch in the afternoon. The evening concludes with a choreographed fireworks Concert in the Sky © performed live with the Springfield Symphony.

Q: Can we purchase refreshments and other items at the festival?

A: Coolers and picnic lunches are allowed on the site grounds, but NO ALCOHOL is allowed. Food, beverages, and other merchandise will be available for purchase. NO GRILLS OR OPEN FIRES ARE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS. Come prepared to spend the day outdoors: bring sunscreen, hats, blankets and personal medications (if needed). Remember to stay hydrated.

Q: Lost Children & First Aid issues?

A: There is both a Lost Child tent and a First Aid station on the grounds. Missing parents or children will be directed to this area to reunite with their party.

Q: Are fireworks allowed?

A: NO FIREWORKS are allowed on festival grounds, or in adjacent parking areas within City limits. Anyone violating City ordinance is subject to warning or summons to Circuit Court.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: No pets are allowed on the grounds, with the exception of assist dogs.

Q: Are tents, canopies, and sun umbrellas allowed?

A: Umbrellas and small tents or canopies are allowed on the grounds. We ask that all of these items be taken down prior to the “Concert in the Sky®” so everyone can have a clear view of the fireworks.
